Paulo Levi is a vibrant musician hailing from Brazil, specifically a charming city along the Amazon Delta in northeastern Brazil. Growing up, he cultivated his passion for music within the nurturing environment of a Protestant church and at the Musical Activities Center (CAM), as well as the Carlos Gomes Conservatory of Music. At the conservatory, he proudly became one of the inaugural members of the institution's big band, now known as AJB.
In his later teens, Paulo briefly attended the University of Missouri (MIZZOU) in the USA, where he further honed his craft before migrating to Paris. There, he enrolled in the prestigious jazz department program at the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris), where he deepened his understanding of jazz and its many nuances.
Levi's early musical experiences were deeply rooted in the local culture, where he actively participated in church activities and collaborated with various local artists. His performances and album recordings during this formative period helped shape his unique style, drawing from the rich musical heritage of his region.
Today, Paulo Levi is exploring an exciting array of projects that span various musical genres from around the globe. He seamlessly integrates elements of Brazilian rhythms, jazz, chill-out vibes, and world fusion into his work, creating a distinctive sound that resonates with diverse audiences.
