Salon 10 proudly presents Goro Ito, a composer, bossa nova guitarist and music producer whose quietly sophisticated music moves between Brazil and Japan, drawing on bossa nova, classical music, rock and minimalism.
For this special Hong Kong appearance, Goro brings together an intimate ensemble featuring French cellist Robin Dupuy and pianist Taro Ito, with Hong Kong vocalist Elodie Lee joining as special guest.
Across his solo work, the project Moose Hill, and the bossa nova duo naomi & goro, Goro has developed a distinctive musical language shaped by finely crafted harmonies and an understated sense of space. He has collaborated with some of Japan’s most influential musicians, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Haruomi Hosono and Yukihiro Takahashi, while building deep musical ties with Brazil through his long-running collaborations with Jaques Morelenbaum and Paula Morelenbaum.
In 2025, Goro, Paula Morelenbaum and Jaques Morelenbaum released TREE, FORESTS tribute to RYUICHI SAKAMOTO on Universal Music, produced by Goro and featuring Haruomi Hosono. His recent work also includes producing and arranging three tracks for Miu Sakamoto’s 2026 album Something True, and composing, arranging and producing “Komorebi” for CHO MIN GYU of Forestella. Taro Ito performs on both projects.
For Salon 10, this musical world is distilled into an intimate ensemble of guitar, cello, piano and subtle electronic textures. Expect delicate interplay, rich harmonies and the quiet pulse of bossa nova — music in which silence and space can be as expressive as the notes themselves.
Robin Dupuy — Cello
French-born and based in Japan, Robin Dupuy is a cellist, vocalist and multimedia artist whose work stretches the cello beyond its classical roots. Trained in Strasbourg and at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, he has collaborated with artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Joe Hisaishi, Koji Tamaki and Goro Ito. His own work explores cello, voice, live looping, spatial audio and visual art.
Taro Ito — Piano
Born in Tokyo in 2004, Taro Ito is a pianist and composer and a 2026 graduate of Tokyo College of Music. Classically trained in piano and composition, his musical interests extend from classical repertoire to K-pop and video-game music. In 2026, he performed on Miu Sakamoto’s Something True and on CHO MIN GYU’s “Komorebi,” both produced by Goro Ito.
